Merchandise Availability

Our buyers order all merchandise well before each catalog is published. However, we may experience an unexpected delay in shipment or greater than expected demand for an item. Should an item be delayed, you will be notified at the time you place your order, or shortly thereafter by email or phone, of the expected shipping date. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order.

Our website and call center have the best information regarding inventory status that we can provide. It is still possible, however, that we may think we have an item in stock when in fact it is sold-out. Should this be the case with an item in your order, you will be notified the next business day by phone or email.

If your order includes an item that is out-of-stock in our catalog/website inventory but appears to be in-stock in one of our stores, it may take us up to 4 days to verify that the item is available for shipment. We will notify you by phone or email as soon as we have confirmed that the item can be shipped.

Would you like to send a gift?

We'll be happy to package your selection in our gift box, and enclose a gift card, all at no additional charge. (Please note that additional shipping charges apply when shipping to multiple addresses.)

Pant Hemming

We are pleased to offer free alterations on your trouser bottoms. You can request this service by selecting a hemming option when you choose your new pant.

If you would like us to hem your pants:

  • Lay a similar pant on a flat surface.
  • Measure the inseam on one leg from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem (use a yardstick for best results);
  • Add 1/2" when measuring for a cotton or cotton-blend pant to allow for shrinkage.
  • Remember to indicate your preference for cuffs or plain bottoms.

We put 1 1/2" cuffs on men's trousers and 1 1/4" cuffs on women's trousers. If you have special instructions, just email us at orders@markshale.com with your request. (Remember to include your order number in your message.)

Please allow an additional 4 business days for shipping if your order includes pants to be hemmed.

Color
We have done our best to ensure the pictures on our website accurately represent our clothing. Due to differences in the way various monitors display color, a single image will not always look the same on different computers. Please accept our apologies if the image on your monitor does not match the item you order to your satisfaction.

Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be delighted with your purchase. If something isn't quite right, please let us know. We'll be happy to send you another color, size, or an entirely different item.

Or, if you prefer, we'll be happy to give you your money back. (Please note, we do not refund shipping and handling charges.)


Returns by store: simply bring your purchase, along with your packing slip, to any of our locations.

Returns by mail: if you prefer to return your purchase by mail, simply complete the form on the packing slip, enclose it and your merchandise in a box, and attach the enclosed shipping label. Be sure to insure your package.
