New Designer: Malene Birger
We're so excited to present the collection of Malene Birger at Mark Shale! We could describe it this way: the Woman breaks into the Man’s wardrobe, goes wild and comes out looking (and smelling) like a rose.

There are so many ways you can mix and match from her collection based around one lovely piece: a jacket with brass and leather hardware on the front, brass zippers on the sleeves, and sparkly silver acrylic threads sewn within. Although the jacket zips closed, we would recommend leaving it open for a more relaxed approach. And if you woke up today in a matchy-matchy mood, there's a skirt made out of the same acrylic and wool material that would pair up well with the jacket, making for a sweet and professional looking ensemble that could easily go from day to night.

Alternately, you can pair up the jacket with Malene Birger's tailored pants (shown), along with a belt from Halston (see the Halston belt post on our Facebook page just a few weeks ago). Shown with the skirt and pants is a blouse from the collection. It ties in nicely with the jacket with delicate brass buttons. It's a wonderfully feminine piece, made with blush-colored chiffon silk.

If you're in the mood to dress down, wear the jacket with a pair of jeans and a fitted t-shirt...and you still can't go wrong.

Speaking of t-shirts, take note: Malene Birger designed a pink and black "Unicef Forever" t-shirt that looks cute, is well made and easy to wear. All proceeds from sales of this shirt will go to UNICEF...because in case you didn't know, Malene Birger also happens to be the ambassador to UNICEF Denmark! Do your good deed for the day and pick one up before they disappear.

Last but never least, you can always accessorize! Try pairing the outfit with a clutch from R & Y Augousti. Made of snakeskin, it pairs up well with the belt from Halston.
