It’s interesting to note that many of our customers are local…but we’re always surprised to see how many are from out of town, and come from all over the country just to shop at Mark Shale.

Howard, one of our personal shoppers in our men’s department at our Michigan Ave. store, established a great relationship with a radiologist from Peoria a little over a year ago. The doctor became a terrific client, despite his aversion to shopping!

This summer, Howard received a call from his client’s wife, who thought that our summer sale would be the perfect time for her husband to stock up on clothing. Items she had in mind included a sport coat, shirts, and non-wool khakis. She trusted Howard’s judgment enough to let him select the best items for her husband. Howard thoughtfully chose a sport coat by Canali, shirts by Robert Talbott and Faconnable, and a few khakis by Hiltl. He shipped the items off to Peoria so that his client could peruse in the privacy of his own home. And in the end, everything was perfect. The client loved every item - not a single thing was returned. Best of all, he didn’t have to set foot in a store.

Although we love to shop, there are plenty of people who don’t care to! But at Mark Shale, we’re more than happy to do it for you.
